Oathsworn protectors who defend allies with sword and shield.

Overview

Paladin is a tank job that has strong damage over time and a unique ranged holy spell phase. It also offers a powerful set of damage mitigation tools for allies or even the whole party. It offers fewer personal mitigation tools than the other tanks, as well as a rigid damage rotation that rewards pre-planning for fight downtime and melee disengages.

Notable Skills

Hallowed Ground

Hallowed Ground is the Paladin's invulnerability. It is the most potent tank invuln, rendering the Paladin immune to almost all damage for 10 seconds. Despite this, it is on a 7 minute cooldown, so use it wisely!

Blade of Valor

Blade of Valor is the Paladin's strongest finisher, used only after Blade of Faith and Blade of Truth are executed under the effect of Requiescat, the Paladin's ranged spell phase. In addition to dealing strong damage to all enemies nearby the target, it restores the Paladin's MP, HP, and inflicts damage over time on all enemies it hits!

Passage of Arms

Passage of Arms is a powerful party mitigation tool that increases block rate to 100% and ensures all party members behind the spectral wings will only suffer 85% of all damage inflicted. While it can be used up to 18 seconds, moving or using other actions will end the effect, so it is advised to only keep it up for as long as the situation calls for.
