To solve the problems of unclean water World Vision is striving to find new and affective ways to create clean water. One of these new solutions is P.U.R. which is a powder that when put into water diminishes the impurities in the water. This product removes dirt, cysts, pollutants, and kills bacteria and viruses in the water. It gets rid of 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.99% of viruses in the water. It removes all this through the flocculation process and takes about thirty minutes. There is a visible sign of when the water is clean. Each packet (4g.) can treat 2.5 gallons of water. The benefits of this process are that it is easy, quick, and cheap.
Another method that World Visions uses is a deep water well. A deep water well is hundreds of feet below layers of hard rock. This prevents any impurities to get into the water. This can provide up to 2,800 gallons of water per day. It can benefit up to 300 people. This results in cutting the communities death rate in half. The downside of a deep water well is that it takes a long time to build and is costly, but there are a lot of benefits. Both of these solutions can help fight the problems that dirty water presents.
