Life:

      Dumbledore grew up in a small family that fell apart in around all of 7 years. After the unnatural deaths of his father, mother, and sister, Dumbledore fell out of contact with his brother, Aberforth. But Dumbledore, who was primarily self-taught, excelled in school, winning every academic award possible and rising to fame as a genius. Later on in life Dumbledore was asked on 3 different occasions to become Minister of Magic (magical prime minister) but he refused each time, instead choosing to become Headmaster of his old school, Hogwarts. Dumbledore spent all of his days trying to stop Voldemort but met him in person on only one occasion after Voldemort's departure from Hogwarts. He confronted him in the Ministry of Magic, their duel nearly destroying the Atrium floor. Voldemort fled and Dumbledore continued his master plan. He began hunting down Volemort's Horcruxes (his anchors to life) in the year following. But he died soon after in that June at the hands of Severus Snape on top of the school's Astronomy Tower. Dumbledore appeared to readers only once more in limbo, explaining to Harry Potter the final task he must complete.
