A bottom faux pas can be described by having something less than pleasant adorn the lower half of your body. A bottom faux pas can range from hideous pants, to skirts, to unnecessary decoration and even poor fitting or styling. A bottom faux pas is something that we are all well aware of on the count of there is nothing you can do to fix this style.

Harem Pants

harem

What it is:

By definition, harem pants are women's pants usually made of soft fabric and having full legs gathered at the ankle while simultaneously sagging below the crotch.

Why it's so bad:

Call them what you want, but these are MC Hammer Pants. These pants will equip you with sick proportions giving you curves and sag in all the wrong places. People constantly complain about how some males wear their pants way below the waste, leaving more showing than you'd like to see not to mention just being plain unattractive. However, females really contradicted themselves with the harem pant fad. No ladies, the low riding crotch look does not look good on you either. .

The Muffin Top The Halfie

muffin

What it is:

By definition, a muffin top is flesh that falls over the waistband of an unusually tight garment.

Why it's so bad:

Honestly, I do not know how these muffin tops come about. You do not leave the house not knowing about your situation. If it's about your pants size, just buy the next size, no one is going to care. Fashion is all about flattering yourself and picking the right styles for your body type and by trying to fit yourself into jeans two styles too small, your not exactly helping yourself. Once again, it's not about what you fit into, its what looks best on you. So do yourself a favor and pick pants that dont squeeze what ever you have going on down there, up there.

  half

What it is:

By definition, halfie pants are shorts or full length pants where half of the garment is one pattern while the other half sports another fabric or pattern.

Why it's so bad:

Why on earth would you ever want your pants to battle themselves in some sort of fashion duel? There are not two fabric patterns that would ever be flattering or cute in this situation. Wearing one pattern on your shirt and another on your pants is one thing, but having two different patterns on opposing sides of your pants is a whole other game. Even if the designs are the same color scheme, you're going to look rediculous. Just pick a side and stick with it.

Bell Bottoms

bell

What it is:

By definition, bell bottom pants are pants that are wide and flaring at the bottoms of the legs, also recognized in bright hues brought over from the seventies.

Why it's so bad:

The Bell Bottom fad was purely one of its own. Bell Bottoms were worn in a variety of colors ranging from neon orange to fuchsia and were tacky and oddly shaped. The wide elephant bottoms make it hard to choose an appropriate shoe and nevermind the bottoms swaying while you walk. After the seventies, bell bottoms started showing up as a jean trend as well, which everyone became accustomed to. Looking back on this fashion fad, it is easily noted how awkward the pants make you look. If not paired with the proper shoes and top, these pants can make you appear much bulkier than you actually are.

The Jumpsuit   Stirrup Pants
jump

What it is:

By definition, a jumpsuit is a garment fashioned after parachutists, usually combining a shirt or bodice with shorts or trousers in one piece.

Why it's so bad:

Bottom line with the jumpsuit is that, you are asking for a camel toe, or a moose knuckle. Either way you want to say it the jumpsuit has to be the most unflattering fashion piece I have come across. The Jumpsuit will show off your every curve and leave you no room to hide anything. It's doubtful that there is one body type out there where you can actually say that this look sincerely works for them.

  stirrup

What it is:

By definition, stirrup pants are pants that start off in a normal fashion but once they gather down and bunch at your ankle area they have a loop in which you stick your foot through to secure your pants to your leg.

Why it's so bad:

Leggings with foot straps, that's what they are. Why you would ever need to make sure that your pants are forever attatched to your feet, the world will never know. These pants are often worn with high strappy heels to show off the stirrup bottoms. However, these are not something you should be wanting to show off. These pants really serve no purpose whatsoever. Your pants will not mysteriously ride up your leg, I promise.
