The Marine Corps was founded on the 10th of November, 1775. It is a branch of the United States armed forces, and is responsible for providing force projection from the sea. As of October 2009, the Marine Corps includes just over 203,000 members, with 40,000 reserve members. The marine force can be used for both hybrid and major combat operations.

      Recruiting      

Enlisting: Enlisting begins with recruit training, and is normally a four-year commitment. Men and women who are between the ages on 17 and 29 who either have, or are working towards, a high school deploma may enlist.

Officer: In order to qualify to become an officer, you must either have college corse work towards a bachelor's degree or have this work completed.
